Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a private reading of a new musical comedy A DOCTOR IN SPITE OF HIMSELF by Sheldon Harnick, based on Molière's LE MEDECIN MALGRE LUI, today, February 1 at MTC Studios. The musical features a score by Harnick, as well as English Adaptation and Additional Dialogue. The reading will be directed by David Glenn Armstrong, with musical direction by Amanda Morton. The cast will feature Ben Davis, Beth Fowler, David Garrison, Cady Huffman, Charles Kimbrough, Jose Llana, Patrick Richwood, Robb Sapp and Elena Shaddow.

Eden Espinosa, Jane Monheit, Christiane Noll and Scott Alan were supposed to perform Alan's song 'Always' at the 'Broadway Blows Back' concert, raising funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The producers decided to move the performance back to December 10th, which Alan was unable to attend, so the group has recorded the song to promote the upcoming concert. The New Voices Collective is gearing up for IN DEVELOPMENT: New Songs from New Shows, New Voices' triumphant return to its original home at Peter Norton Symphony Space, this coming Monday, December 12, at 8:00 p.m. An incredible roster of composers have contributed songs from their new musicals, providing a 'sneak peek' at an interesting array of projects, such as Homemade Fusion by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond and Bunnicula by Sam Davis and Mark Waldrop.
