Mercury Theatre Colchester Announces Full Company For 2017 Mercury Playwriting Prize Winner EUROPE AFTER THE RAIN

Mercury Theatre Colchester today announces the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of the 2017 Mercury Playwrighting Prize winner - Oliver Bennett's Europe After The Rain. Cara Nolan directs James Alexandrou (Will), Simon Haines (Max), Natasha Kafka (Marta) and Anna Koval (Yana) and the creative team includes Amelia Jane Hankin (Designer), Kiaran Kesby (Lighting Designer), Nuno Santos (Sound Designer) and Craig Hamblyn (Fight Director). Europe After the Rain opens in the Mercury Studio Theatre on the 31 May with previews from 25 May and runs until 9 June.

The Menier Chocolate Factory Announces Full Casting For The UK Premiere Of Jordi Galceran's THE GRONHOLM METHOD

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for the UK premiere of Jordi Galceran's The Gronholm Method. Making his UK directorial debut, BT McNicholl directs Jonathan Cake (Frank), Greg McHugh (Carl), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Melanie) and John Gordon Sinclair (Rick). The production opens on 22 May, with previews from 10 May, and runs until 7 July.

Artistic Director of Defibrillator James Hillier directs David Horovitch (James), Gemma Lawrence (Amanda), Kika Markham (Lucy) and Lawrence Walker (Mark). The production opens at the Arcola Theatre on 1 May, with previews from the 25 April, and runs until 2 June.

TREMOR Shakes Up Brits Off Broadway At 59E59 Theaters

Brits Off Broadway continues at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) with the US premiere of TREMOR, written by Brad Birch and directed by David Mercatali. Produced by Sherman Theatre (Wales), TREMOR begins performances on Tuesday, May 15 for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 10.

Stefanie Powers and Clive Francis Star In New UK Tour Of 84 CHARING CROSS ROAD

Cambridge Arts Theatre today announces a new UK tour of James Roose-Evans' adaptation of Helene Hanff's novel 84 Charing Cross Road, in collaboration with Lee Dean and Salisbury Playhouse. Richard Beecham directs Stefanie Powers as Helene Hanff and Clive Francis as Frank Doel. The production opens at Darlington Hippodrome on Wednesday 23 May before touring to Wolverhampton, Malvern, Richmond, Oxford and finishing in Cambridge Arts Theatre on 30 June.

The 2018 Brits Off Broadway season launches at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) with WE LIVE BY THE SEA, devised by Patch of Blue and directed by Alex Howarth. Produced by Patch of Blue and The Hartshorn-Hook Foundation, WE LIVE BY THE SEA begins performances on Wednesday, April 11 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 6. Press Opening is Tuesday, April 17 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 7:15 PM; Sunday at 2:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). The single ticket prices range from $25 - $35 ($24.50 for 59E59 Members). Critically Acclaimed Actress Anita Dobson Leads The Cast of Stage Traffic Productions' World Premiere Of 3WOMEN

3Women, the debut play by the award-winning comedian and writer Katy Brand, will premiere at Trafalgar Studios 2, starring the celebrated screen and stage actress Anita Dobson (Eleanor), alongside Debbie Chazen (Suzanne), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Laurie), and Oliver Greenall (Waiter). Running from 15 May to 9 June 2018, with press night on 18 May, 3Women explores the relationships between three generations of the same family, brought together in one hotel room, in a darkly comic and pertinent exploration of what it means to be a woman.

Octagon Theatre Bolton To Stage Site-Specific Production of SUMMER HOLIDAY

This May, the Octagon Theatre Bolton continue their 50th Anniversary season with their first off-site production of 2018 - a not to be missed site-specific staging of the much-loved 1960's musical film Summer Holiday. The production will be co-directed by Octagon Theatre's Artistic Director Elizabeth Newman and associate director Ben Occhipinti.

The Irish Are Coming To Shakespeare Theatre Company in WAITING FOR GODOT

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will host Druid, Ireland's most celebrated theatre company, and their critically acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot. Directed by Tony Award-winner Garry Hynes, Druid's production of Samuel Beckett's absurd, anarchic masterpiece will make its regional premiere at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from April 17 through May 20, 2018 before it travels on to Chicago.

Amy Marston Joins Watford Palace Theatre's Revival Of BROKEN GLASS – 80 YEARS AFTER KRISTALLNACHT

Watford Palace Theatre today announces that Amy Marston will play Sylvia Gellburg alongside the previously announced Clara Francis (Harriet), Andrew Hall (Stanton Case), Michael Higgs (Dr Harry Hyman), Rebecca Lacey (Margaret Hyman) and Michael Matus (Philip Gellburg) in Arthur Miller's play Broken Glass, which opens 80 years after the events of Kristallnacht, leading up to the Second World War. Charlotte Emmerson has regretfully had to withdraw from the production due to unforeseen circumstances. Broken Glass opens at Watford Palace Theatre on 8 March and runs until 24 March.

First Look images from the rehearsal rooms of Sting's The Last Ship have been released. Rehearsals for the production, which has a TONY-nominated original score and lyrics composed by Sting, are underway. It will play a 4-week season in Newcastle before embarking on a major UK & Ireland Tour.

Hampstead Theatre Announces Upcoming Season

Artistic Director Edward Hall announces Hampstead Theatre's spring/summer season. The UK premiere of Rajiv Joseph's darkly comic post-truth play Describe the Night will be directed by Lisa Spirling. The world premiere of Jemma Kennedy's blisteringly entertaining Genesis Inc. will be directed by Laurie Sansom. The world premiere of Fiona Doyle's haunting and provocative new drama The Strange Death of John Doe will be directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall for Hampstead Downstairs. The production is a Hampstead Theatre commission and a finalist for The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Under 30s can access Priority Booking for all shows via The Downstairs Club - Hampstead's free membership scheme to allow better access to the cheaper seats.
