After the success and popularity of its first NYE event in 2014, modern Spanish restaurant El Tapeo invites guests to ring in 2016 with the 2nd Annual New Year's Eve party on Thursday, December 31. Located on the 9th floor of Le Meridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center, El Tapeo will offer two dinner seatings, each featuring a complimentary glass of sangria or sparkling champagne, as well as a festive party from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. Guests who book the second dinner seating will be granted complimentary access to the party, also open to guests who are not dining to attend, featuring live entertainment from Cherry and The Definitives, party favors, and a midnight toast.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre, presents two free, staged readings this fall: Are You Now or Have You Ever Been by Eric Bentley, directed by Apollo Dukakis, on Wednesday, November 11 at 7 pm; and, on Monday, November 16 at 7PM, in partnership with East West Players, The Recognition of Shakuntala by Kalidasa, translated by W. J. Johnson, directed by Jonathan Munoz-Proulx. Both readings are performed as part of Words Within, A Noise Within's ongoing series of free play readings by resident artists.
