Ryan Murphy has won the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Direction of a Comedy Series for GLEE. Murphy is also the creator of the Fox hit series.

Jane Lynch has won the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Lynch plays 'Sue Sylvester' on the Fox hit show.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Javier Bardem may be the latest star to make a guest appearance on GLEE. According to a report in the Ausiello Files, Bardem will play a Spanish rock star who befriends 'Artie' (played by Kevin McHale). Bardem allegedly pitched the idea to GLEE creator Ryan Murphy while the two were in production for Eat, Pray, Love.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

Piano man Billy Joel has revealed to Access Hollywood that he has offered GLEE use of his hall of fame music catalog. Stage vets Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison performed Joel's 'Piano Man' last season on an episode in which Harris guest starred. Harris earend an Emmy nomination for his appearance.

GLEE's Ryan Murphy is currently developing a show for John Stamos, who will be guest starring in the upcoming season of the hit television series, according to E!Online. Murphy is also working on a show for Kristin Chenoweth, whose guest stint in GLEE earned her an Emmy nomination. Both actors will most likely sing in their new series, according to Murphy.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, GLEE will feature a Britney Spears tribute episode in its second season, premiering September 21, 2010 on FOX. Heather Morris, who plays 'Brittany' on the show, will be playing Britney Spears in a dream sequence with Ms. Spears herself, it is believed. Zaptoit.com has revealed of the episode that 'New Directions' pleas for Britney tunes fall on deaf ears with Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), so when they pay respective visits to the dentist (John Stamos), anesthesia-induced fantasies bring out the musical numbers and the all-but-official Britney cameo.' GLEE creator Ryan Murphy recently hinted to Access Hollywood that this episode may not be Spear's last.
