Did you know the Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen was built on a magician's burial ground? Cherry Pitz and the good ladies of the Home have dealt with aliens, zombies, ghosts, demons, all while trying to raise funds to keep the Home in order (and, of course, for glitter and lingerie). This October a new spirit comes to visit Cherry... how do the dead really feel about all of this burlesque happened on top of their graves?

In the first two minutes of SCREAM QUEENS, it's obvious this is a somehow campier, meaner version of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN with a brighter color palette. That SCREAM QUEENS will be compared to the AHS series is inevitable, sharing showrunners and genre. However, SCREAM QUEENS has a much stronger beginning than any of the seasons of AHS at all.

Through out the past week, BroadwayWorld has been brinigng you coverage of the 67th Annual Emmy Awards with a decidedly theatre-specific focus, and tonight will be no different. At some point during the tedious Red Carpet, I will begin live blogging everything from the Andy Samberg's hosting performance to the awards to the acceptance speeches, and everything inbetween.
