Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, will present the New York premiere of See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander; book and lyrics by Adam Mathias; directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (two-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Outstanding Director for TG's The Audience and The Boys in the Band), beginning Saturday, July 17, and opening Sunday, July 25, at 7pm at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, 229 West 42nd Street.

Open The Dark Door, the indie rock musical by David Lefort Nugent that confronts the modern American justice system, begins it's NYMF run October 8th at the American Theatre of Actors, running through October 17th. Starring in the production at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival are Broadway's Mary Ellen Ashley (Annie Get Your Gun), Paul Kandel (Tommy, Titanic, Jesus Christ Superstar), Laura Jordan (Cry Baby), and Andrew McGinn (Coast of Utopia). The production features direction from Susanna Gellert (Fugue States at PS 122).

Full casting has been announced for OPEN THE DARK DOOR, an indie rock musical by David Lefort Nugent that confronts the modern American justice system. Starring in the production at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival are Broadway's Mary Ellen Ashley (Annie Get Your Gun), Paul Kandel (Tommy, Titanic, Jesus Christ Superstar), Laura Jordan (Cry Baby), and Andrew McGinn (Coast of Utopia). The closing show of Civic Theatre of Allentown?s 2008-2009 stage season is a backstage musical with everything- humor, heart? and a scandalous affair. Genesius, the true story behind the improbable rise of Reading?s own Genesius Theatre, opens May 8th and runs through May 17th in Civic?s 19th Street Theatre. This production is fittingly directed by Civic Artistic Director Bill Sanders, who directed his first show ever at Genesius 30 years ago, and is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of his directorial debut at Civic.
