York Theatre Company's 'Tune In Time' Continues Tonight

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, partners with producers Amy Engelhardt and Heather Shields to present the fourth installment in the Fall 2014 series of the acclaimed new game show for musical theater lovers called Tune in Time. Hosted by Emily McNamara, with music direction by Nate Buccieri, and Sheila Head as the annoyingly insistent timekeeper, the next performance in the series is set for TONIGHT, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peters (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
CAP21 Partners With RKO Stage to Develop Five New Musicals

CAP21 Theatre Company and RKO Stage have partnered to develop 5 new musicals inspired by RKO's classic film library over the next two years. CAP21 has designed a year-long developmental process during which writing teams are able to complete a strong first draft of a new musical. During each cycle, writers will participate in CAP21's signature New Works Development Program, a comprehensive process that includes: Process Meetings, Writers Residencies, Roundtable Readings, Read-Thru/Sing-Thru Table Readings and Concert Readings. With this new partnership CAP21 is receiving funding to establish the residency.
4x15 - ROUND TWO at Musical Theatre Factory Set for 8/4

On Monday, August 4 at 8PM Musical Theatre Factory will be presenting its second round of 4x15, a developmental program in which four new musicals are each given five hours of rehearsal time to stage fifteen-minute excerpts that share one evening of presentations. The event is open to the public and also features panel of industry professionals who will give feedback to the writers after each showing. The new musicals featured in 4x15 - ROUND TWO are ONIEDA (Book and Lyrics: Beth Blatt; Music by Lizzie Hagstedt), DROP DEAD GORGEOUS (Book and Lyrics: Laura Kleinbaum; Music, Willem Oosthuysen), THE CRAFT - The Musical (Book and Lyrics: Brandon Michael Lowden; Music and Lyrics, Kevin Michael Jones), and FIREFLIES (Book, Music, Lyrics: Dimitri Koltunov). The evening features a cast of over 40 Musical Theatre Factory performers and volunteer creatives. The 4x15 industry panel includes director Travis Greisler (THE ORION EXPERIENCE), literary agent Alexis Williams (Bret Adams Ltd.), producers Ryan Bogner (RKO Productions) and Jane Abramson (Disney Theatricals).
