Tonight, February 19th generous supporters will come together to celebrate the mission of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) and Youth Pride Chorus (YPC) of promoting equality through the power of song. Harmony, now in its 13th year, will be held at Affirmation Arts, a luxury venue located in Manhattan's Hudson Yards. Three-time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello will guest star at this year's gala. Members of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) and Youth Pride Chorus (YPC) will also perform.

Designer Zac Posen, Model Alek Wek and Actress Patina Miller were honored this afternoon for their careers and philanthropic achievements, and their unyielding dedication to our youth, arts and education initiatives at the Rush HeARTS Education Luncheon presented by the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. Cynthia Nixon hosted the event with Angela Simmons serving as Event Chair with Designers Dee and Ricky. Two of Rush's co-founders, Russell Simmons and Danny Simmons, were also in attendance. n Partnership with the UNC Center for the Study of the American South, Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Civilizations, UNC's Department of American Studies, and Muslim Life at Duke, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival is presenting a screening of the new comedy documentary, The Muslims Are Coming, at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 7. The 3rd Annual Underground Comedy Railroad will makes it's way across Canada February 7-28, 2014, in honour of Black History Month. The tour features seven top-notch black comedians - TRIXX, KEESHA BROWNIE, GILSON LUBIN, RODNEY RAMSEY, ANDREW SEARLES, KWASI THOMAS and DANIEL WOODROW - hitting nine cities from Montreal to Victoria.
