Mary-Arrchie Theatre's THE GLASS MENAGERIE Moves to Theater Wit, Now thru 6/30

Due to overwhelming demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s Jeff Recommended production of THE GLASS MENAGERIE directed by Hans Fleischmann will be moving the wonderful Theater Wit in Chicago with performances beginning today, May 22nd, 2013 for 6 additional weeks! The original 9 week run and extension at Angel Island is completely sold out. The critically acclaimed production will feature all the original Mary-Arrchie cast members.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. Presents UNCLE BOB, Opening 6/13

Mary-Arrchie Theater Co. is excited to announce that on it's 27th Anniversary, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 8 p.m. it will open a production of Austin Pendleton's Uncle Bob. It will run Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m.and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $25. There will be previews on June 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. and the preview ticket price will be $15. It will be mounted at Angel Island which is at 735 W. Sheridan in Chicago, Illinois. There is parking available at the Mobil Gas station across from the theater for a price to be determined by Mobil.

THE SELFISH GIANT, COMPLICATED and More Set for Three Oaks Theater Festival in Harbor Country, Beg. 7/6

Co-founders John Stoops, Tim Evans, and Marc Grapey announce the inaugural season of Three Oaks Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that will bring three limited-engagement runs of highly-acclaimed, professional Chicago-based productions and a World Premiere to audiences in Harbor Country, Michigan. Three Oaks Theater Festival is presented in association with Harbor Arts with special thanks to The Pokagon Fund.

Following its, critically acclaimed, sold-out run at Angel Island this winter, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. transfers its Jeff Recommended production of Tennessee Williams' classic THE GLASS MENAGERIE to Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave., for an extended run May 23 - June 30, 2013. Directed by ensemble member Hans Fleischmann, who also stars as Tom, the remount features the full original cast, including Walter Briggs, Maggie Cain and Joanne Dubach. Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s THE GLASS MENAGERIE Extends Through 2/17

Due to popular demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s Jeff Recommended hit production of THE GLASS MENAGERIE will add three additional weeks of performances - extending through February 17, 2013 at Angel Island Theatre, 735 W. Sheridan Rd. in Chicago. After selling out the regular run in 3 days, Mary-Arrchie has decided to add 3 more weeks of performances starting January 31st. There will be no performances January 24-27th.

GEOGRAPHY BY A HORSE DREAMER and More Set for Mary-Arrchie's 27th Season

Mary-Arrchie launches right into its 27th season with Sam Shepard's surreal Geography of a Horse Dreamer this month, followed by a Mary-Arrchie re-imagining of The Glass Menagerie in November. Then we kick off 2013 with Austin Pendleton's riveting Uncle Bob in February 2013 and finish up with a relentless experimental staging of The Brig by Kenneth H. Brown in April and the Silver Anniversary of Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Theatre Festival in August 2013.

GEOGRAPHY BY A HORSE DREAMER and More Set for Mary-Arrchie's 27th Season

Mary-Arrchie is not taking a vacation this summer. The group finishes its 26th Season with a new partnership with Illinois State University when it presents an energetic staging of Electra in a new adaptation by Sonja Moser in July. And Mary-Arrchie will be performing a special two-week extension of Jeff Nominated Superior Donuts at Metropolis Arts Center in Arlington Heights. Plus, the Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Theatre Festival celebrates it's 24th year this August.

It will add performances on August 13,14, 15, 19, 26, 27, & 28. Thursdays -Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. All shows are selling out so it is advised to reserve and pay on Ticketweb. All tickets are released at 10 minutes to showtime.
