2013 Season to Feature a Range of Groundbreaking, Genre-Bending, and Immersive Commissions and Presentations

SECRETS, The Untold Story of Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung, an original play written and directed by Ken Wydro, is being presented at TBG Theatre, February 11-March 10.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Cincinnati's stage for the classics, is presents Christopher Hampton's "Dangerous Liaisons", playing from tonight, February 15, through March 10, 2013. This production is directed by Drew Fracher and features CSC Resident Ensemble Members Giles Davies, Corinne Mohlenhoff, Sherman Fracher and Kelly Mengelkoch. Court Theatre Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert present Proof written by David Auburn, and directed by Charles Newell. Proof will run March 7 - April 7, 2013 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. Press Opening is Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 8:00PM.

Digital Theatre today (12 February 2013) announces its next release - Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce stars in Michael Attenborough's production of William Shakespeare's King Lear. The production, the second collaboration between Digital Theatre and the Almeida Theatre, was captured live in October 2012 during the play's sell-out run.

Today, The Almeida Theatre Company Board announced Rupert Goold as the new Artistic Director of the Islington based Almeida Theatre Company.

The American Shakespeare Center is the only U.S. theatre company included in the British Broadcasting Corporation's six-part series, 'Shakespeare Uncovered.' The final installment of the series, 'Shakespeare Uncovered: The Tempest with Trevor Nunn,' features the ASC prominently through rehearsal and performance footage from the company's 2011 production of The Tempest as well as interviews with ASC Co-Founder and Artistic Director Jim Warren and actors James Keegan and Miriam Donald Burrows.

In the hands of The Studio Theatre's Artistic Director David Muse and STC's Artistic Director Michael Kahn, this pairing of Shakespearean and German epics challenges the concept of control among military and government institutions. Coriolanus and Wallenstein play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from March 28-June 2, 2013.
