In the UK Premiere from Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning writer Robert Schenkkan (Hacksaw Ridge, All the Way), the political thriller Building The Wall comes to Park Theatre. A harrowing tale of the terrible events that resulted when Donald Trump made good on his promise to build a 'beautiful wall' between Mexico and the United States. The official press night will be Friday 4 May, 7pm.

Production photos have been released for Geoids Musical Theatre's production of Sweeney Todd, which comes to London for a limited run at the Stockwell Playhouse from 2 to 6 May 2018.

The River Street Theatre (RST), a project of Jaffrey's Park Theatre, will be exclusively presenting the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth on Sunday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 9 (both at 2 PM). The presentation is part of the RST's Stage2Screen Series.

Milwaukee's Free Shakespeare in the Park (SITP) is pleased to announce their 2018 production of "King Lear". Mr. James Pickering*, a legend of the Milwaukee stage, will appear in the title role and, in her return to Milwaukee, Ms. Lisa Gaye Dixon will direct.

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre as part of their acclaimed 'Celebrating British Music Theatre' series, the first professional UK production since its 1980 premiere, The Biograph Girl by Warner Brown and David Heneker opens at the Finborough Theatre for a three week limited season on Tuesday, 22 May 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 24 May and Friday 25 May 2018 at 7.30pm)

The International Shakespeare Center brings renowned author and professor at Columbia University, James Shapiro, to Santa Fe to speak about Shakespeare's King Lear.

Producer Scott Rudin announced today a special Midnight Performance for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women on Thursday, May 17 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), which will be a one-night-only benefit for The Actors Fund. The first Broadway production of Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece stars two-time Academy Award®-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award® winner, three-time Emmy Award® winner, and 2018 Academy Award® nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award® nominee Alison Pill, and is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello. Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents Buried Child, written by Sam Shepard and directed by WT Resident Director Kimberly Senior. Buried Child runs May 9 - June 17, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m.

One of the great things about DC theatre is that we have the opportunities to experience theater from all over the world, including from some of the most artistically renowned companies.  Take for example the Druid Theatre Company in Galway, Ireland.  Today's subject Garry Hynes is living her theatre life as Artistic Director of that esteemed company.  The Druid's production of Waiting for Godot is embarking on its year-long tour with a run at Shakespeare Theatre Company through May 20.

Chichester Festival Theatre is a place of firsts for Tracy-Ann Oberman. Last year, she performed in The Fiddler on the Roof, her first professional musical. This Spring, she returns to CFT once again for her first Noel Coward play, Present Laughter. With tech week coming up, Tracy-Ann spoke to us about why she wanted to take on Coward, what else is on her wish list, and what audiences can expect from Present Laughter. 

Everyone has some form of relationship with Shakespeare. But those good and bad experiences from school or live performances can become burdens when faced with dense blank verse and light stage directions. The Scaffold Shakespeare Company is built upon acknowledging these burdens and putting them aside to explore the work as though for the first time. In this exciting series of workshops, they have created an open and inclusive space for professional theatre-makers to explore Shakespeare's plays.
