The newly created Liberty Hall Dance Festival will be presented on Saturday, September 16th in Union, NJ. The festival was created by Nicole Bugg of Bugg Ballet in partnership with the Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University.

Pride Month 2017 continues at Santa Monica Playhouse with the extension of the All-Male Late-Night Date-Night production of the acclaimed musical comedy, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, a charmingly original adaptation of that most gloriously romantic love story retold with an inclusive twist, playing Fridays and Today at 9:30 pm through July 29th

Now, this 90 minute musical version of an epic Shakespearean drama will be on stage for the first time in North Carolina as the culmination of Raleigh Little Theatre's Teens on Stage / Teens Backstage summer conservatory next month. 'The Tempest' is directed by Patrick Torres, Raleigh Little Theatre's Artistic Director.

Regina Taylor's moving and celebratory gospel musical "Crowns" opens at Raleigh Little Theatre on Friday, August 25. Today, The Hawk Chicago announced nominations for the inaugural Chicago Theatre Awards, a contest in which all winners are chosen entirely by audience vote. The first round, which invited write-in submissions, ended June 23rd. The official nominees were decided by almost 1,600 voters.

Starting in the fall, Raleigh Little Theatre will offer a class for 2-4 year olds for the first time along with their parents. The Theatre has also introduced a new framework for parents to figure out which class is right for their child.

The Old Globe is deeply saddened to announce the passing of prominent businesswoman, civic leader, philanthropist, and Old Globe Board member Kathryn Crippen Hattox, who died April 29.

???????For a musical that has been around for almost 15 years, "Avenue Q" has had a remarkable number of different iterations, running off- and on-Broadway, touring to 21 cities and countries around the world and recently showing up in the HBO series "Big Little Lies." Now, in 2017, "Avenue Q" finally gets its first all-local staging in the Triangle. RLT's production is helmed by Jesse R. Gephart.

The Jeff Awards announced, via a special video presentation, a total of 127 nominations in 26 categories for the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017.  Hosting the video presentation were Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, who will be this year's Mistresses of Ceremonies at the Awards event on June 5 at The Athenaeum.
