GHOST CARD Comes to Socrates Sculpture Park This September

Culture shock. Loss of a parent. Gambling addiction. A psychedelic gnome. These and other stories will come to life this September in Hassan Christopher and Megan Weaver's tribute to the mundane and epic moments that occur at tables, in a site-responsive dance theater collage of crowdsourced true stories presented free to the public at Socrates Sculpture Park.

Inspired by the people, artists, and heritage of a great city, the Boston Landmarks Orchestra (LO) under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, and Executive Director Jo Frances Meyer announces its 2016 season of free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell at the Esplanade. 

Hershey Felder Set for George Gershwin Event at The Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum will present WISH YOU WERE HERE: GEORGE GERSHWIN on Tuesday, May 31 at 6:30pm. Jens Hoffmann, Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs, will speak with 'George Gershwin' as portrayed by pianist and playwright Hershey Felder.

Theatre and Dance at Wayne Welcomes Anna Sperber as Guest Artist

The Wayne State Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance welcomes Anna Sperber as the Fall 2015 Company One guest artist. Sperber will be holding classes with Dance Department students from October 29th-November 2nd as she creates a short repertory piece for Company One.  This new work will be performed in the Allesee Dance Theatre on Monday November 2nd at 12:00 p.m.  Admission to the event is Free.

Inspired by the musical connection of people, place, and culture, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, announces the 2015 summer's free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell. Free concerts will be held every Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) beginning today, July 15, thru August 26, 2015.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra to Offer Free Concerts This Summer, Beg. 7/15

 Inspired by the musical connection of people, place, and culture, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, announces the 2015 summer's free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell. Free concerts will be held every Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) beginning July 15 thru August 26, 2015.  Neighborhood concerts and youth engagement residencies featuring Brazilian composer, pianist and vocalist Clarice Assad continue throughout the summer beginning on July 12 (6 p.m.) at Pinebank Promontory in Jamaica Plain and through August 14 at John F. This summer's free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell selections are inspired by a wonderful range of the world's musical traditions. Concerts will be held every Wednesday evening (7pm) beginning today, July 16 thru August 27, 2014.

Freud, Kushner and Spiegelman Headline WISH YOU WERE HERE at The Jewish Museum, Dec 2013

In December The Jewish Museum will launch a new program series, Wish You Were Here. The first offering is a discussion between Jens Hoffmann, The Jewish Museum's Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs, and Dr. Sigmund Freud, as presented by noted Freud scholar Michael S. Roth. Over the next two years, Hoffmann will interview the subjects of Andy Warhol's Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century (1980), interpreted by prominent experts, as if each were coming to the Museum to have a conversation in the present day.

AT THE RIVER, KISS ME, KATE and More Set for Boston Landmarks Orchestra's 2013 Season

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra (LO) announces its 2013 summer season at the DCR's historic Hatch Shell on Boston's Esplanade along the Charles River, and additional concerts and educational activities in Boston's neighborhoods. Concerts at the Hatch Shell take place every Wednesday at 7 pm, beginning July 17 and running through August 28. Neighborhood event times vary. All concerts are free.
