Culture shock. Loss of a parent. Gambling addiction. A psychedelic gnome. These and other stories will come to life this September in Hassan Christopher and Megan Weaver's tribute to the mundane and epic moments that occur at tables, in a site-responsive dance theater collage of crowdsourced true stories presented free to the public at Socrates Sculpture Park.

The Wayne State Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance welcomes Anna Sperber as the Fall 2015 Company One guest artist. Sperber will be holding classes with Dance Department students from October 29th-November 2nd as she creates a short repertory piece for Company One. This new work will be performed in the Allesee Dance Theatre on Monday November 2nd at 12:00 p.m. Admission to the event is Free.

The first offering is a discussion between Jens Hoffmann, The Jewish Museum's Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs, and Dr. Sigmund Freud, as presented by noted Freud scholar Michael S. Roth. Over the next two years, Hoffmann will interview the subjects of Andy Warhol's Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century (1980), interpreted by prominent experts, as if each were coming to the Museum to have a conversation in the present day.
