Following a sold out run at 59E59, Dixon Place presents Places, a multimedia solo show about one of Broadway's biggest stars, silent film legend and trailblazing lesbian iconoclast, Alla Nazimova, written and performed by Romy Nordlinger (Places, 59East59/Edinburgh Fringe).  Cailin Heffernan* directs.  One performance will be staged at Dixon Place, 161A Chrystie Street in NYC on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 7:30pm.

So-fi (Co-Founders; Jody Christopherson, Nathan Gebhard, Romy Nordlinger) announce the launch of a new curated festival, for low-fi, multi-disciplinary solo performance, co-produced by, and at Torn Page in Chelsea (435 W 22nd Street, 2nd Floor), a performance space in the historic home of Rip Torn and Geraldine Page. The impetus for this festival was to create an opportunity for touring and local artists, who push the boundaries of multiple forms, to be produced affordably in New York. The majority of box office sales from each performance go directly to artists.

Radical Gags Theatrics will present the World Premiere of LIKE MONEY IN THE BANK, the first romantic comedy about the founding of the Federal Reserve Bank, by Jerry Polner. Taking the gender parity problem head-on New York Madness is bringing to the stage a Special All-Women writers and directors edition of their short play festival, a mainstay of NYC's Indie Theater Community. NYMadness has produced at HERE Theater, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studios Theatre, INTAR Theater, ESPA Primary Stages and many more across the city. Since inception six years ago NYMadness has been a leader on gender parity maintaining a 50/50 even split men/women on their roster. With a focus on emerging artists, NYM hosts a hot night of short plays all based on a Theme announced one week prior to the event. The Theme for this special edition is appropriately dubbed, SMASHING THE PATRIARCHY Madness.
