On December 4, 1998, Gus van Sant's shot-for-shot remake of Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 classic horror film PSYCHO was released in theaters. The film has gone down in history as one of the most 'pointless' remakes, according to the great film critic Roger Ebert.

Sundance Institute today announced that its President & Founder Robert Redford will present journalist and film critic Roger Ebert with the Vanguard Leadership Award in recognition of his advocacy of independent cinema. The award presentation will take place at the third annual 'Celebrate Sundance Institute' benefit, chaired by Institute Trustee Lyn Lear and her husband, Norman, on June 5, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret February 25-26, 2012. This world premiere production will be directed by Carolyn Cantor (After The Revolution, for which she recently received the Callaway award, and Pumpgirl). REGRETS will now begin previews Thursday, March 8, 2012 and open Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I.
