Blossom Music Center, The Cleveland Orchestra's summer home, marks its 50th anniversary this summer. The Cleveland Orchestra will present a special season for its annual Blossom Music Festival and a summer-long celebration for this milestone year.

 The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke unite with Roger Daltrey on Sunday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.)at Forest Hills Stadium-the historic sporting and entertainment venue located in the Queens, New York neighborhood of Forest Hills-for a special, one-night-only performance of The Who's 'TOMMY'. The orchestra and Daltrey are joined by a band of seasoned Who players, including guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, guitarist Frank Simes, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, and drummer Scott Devours.

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts has announced the first performances of Summer 2018 at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 17; Wolf Trap members (donors of $75 and up) have access to presales and are beginning to purchase tickets now.

The Little Match Girl was written in 1975 and 1976. I had seen a TV adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen short story on BBC2 at Christmas 1974 and discovered it was written by Jeremy Paul - who I'd met at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond.

Tabard Theatre today announces full casting for their Christmas production of The Little Match Girl, based on the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The musical that launched the Christmas single Mistletoe and Wine, will be directed by the original show's composer, Keith Strachan. Emily Cochrane leads the company in the role of The Little Match Girl and she will be joined by Jack Ayres Aimee Barrett (Josie), Charlotte Christensen (Liza), Julia Faulkner (Mrs Roberts/Winifred/ Washerwoman), Rob Hadden (Jeb), Kathryn Hamilton-Hall (Elsie/Cook/Maud), Matt Philip Harris, Ian McCurrach (Butler), Emily Whiting (Charlotte) and Anthony Williamson (Rich Man). The production opens on 8 December, with previews from 7 December and runs until 31 December.

In commemoration of the release of the cult classic film THE LOST BOYS, Grammy winner G Tom Mac, singer and songwriter of the film's hit theme song Cry Little Sister is releasing new music from his upcoming recording for the A LOST BOYS STORY; a musical based on the film itself.

Alfie Boe is best known for his internationally critically acclaimed performances as Jean Valjean in the musical Les Miserables, playing the role in the Queen's Theatre in London, the Les Miserables: 25th Anniversary Concert in October 2010, and in the Broadway revival. He has been playing the lead role in Finding Neverland on Broadway beginning March 29, 2016. As well, Boe shared a Tony Award with the other members of the ensemble cast of Baz Luhrmann's 2002 revival of La boheme in 2003. He has sold over one million albums in the U.K.
