The 2013-2014 season at Cleveland Play House (CPH) continues with the compelling world premiere production of Deborah Zoe Laufer's Informed Consent. Co-produced with Geva Theatre Center, this incredibly thought-provoking production is inspired by the real life court case between the Havasupai Indian tribe and Arizona State University, and sparks an intriguing debate on both ethicality and morality. Directed by Sean Daniels and Sponsored by Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth, Informed Consent will serve as the centerpiece to CPH's 2014 New Ground Theatre Festival and will run from April 23 - May 18 in the Second Stage.

Wayne Hu stars as the King, recently seen in Camelot and King for a Day with The Glimmerglass Festival and La Boheme with Opera Memphis. The King and I also includes performances by 14 local children (ages 6 - 11) from Lake Worth to the Treasure Coast, cast through the Theatre's annual First Step to Stardom audition program.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre's eleventh annual gala, The Good Fortune Ball, raised over $625,000 for the not-for-profit Theatre. Nearly four hundred guests attended the benefit and live auction, held in the Grand Ballroom at the PGA National Resort Grand Ballroom in Palm Beach Gardens. Inspired by the Theatre's production of the Tony Award®-winning musical The King and I (March 18 - April 6), the spectacular affair transported guests back to a wonderland of 19th century Siam, complete with a gilded gold dance floor, cherry blossoms, glittering tables bathed in candlelight, magnificent floral centerpieces, Siamese lanterns strung from the ceiling, splendid blush pink and purple lighting and more

The 2014/15 season will begin with The Foreigner (October 26 - November 9), an uproariously funny adventure set in a rural Georgia fishing lodge that follows a shy man who adopts a persona as a non-English-speaking foreigner. We continue with Fiddler on the Roof (December 2 - 21), the Tony Award-winning classic musical that follows dairyman Tevye as he fights to maintain his family and heritage. Next up in The Wiz (January 13 - February 1), the spirited, rock gospel and soul Tony Award-winning musical based on the classic tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - perfect for the entire family. Then join us for Glengarry Glen Ross (February 8 - 22), David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece about a group of tough-talking Chicago real estate agents who will do anything to close a deal. Our incredible season ends with a four-week run of the Tony Award-winning phenomenon Les Miserables (March 10 - April 5), an epic and inspiring production not to be missed!

On October 10, at the Dramatists Guild Fund annual gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York, Cleveland's Roe Green, Founder and President was honored for her patronage of the arts. The event was hosted by television and Broadway actor Michael Urie, and featured such legendary theatre elite as Stephen Schwartz, Ben Vereen, Bernadette Peters and Stephen Sondheim.
