Manchester International Festival today launches the full programme for the 2011 Festival, with an event at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry. From Thursday 30 June to Sunday 17 July, MIF will present more than 20 commissions, premieres and special events created by leading artists from around the world, some of which have been three years or more in the making. The Martha Graham Dance Company, founded by Martha Graham in 1926, is the oldest, most celebrated modern dance company in the world. It presents the classic Graham repertory and new choreography in its home city of New York and on tour, featuring an international roster of today's most talented dance artists.

The Ross Valley Players kicks off it's new season with David Mamet's political comedy 'November,' opening on Sept. 17. James Dunn directs this play about U.S. President Charles 'Chucky' Smith nearing the end of his first term and dealing with the unfavorable prospects that he will be elected for a second term.

The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) (1220 Fifth Avenue), in its forthcoming exhibition Joel Grey / A New York Life, examines the enduring impact that legendary actor Joel Grey and his adopted city have made on each other. Through rare artifacts from his stage and screen career, objects from his personal collection, and his own photography, MCNY offers a unique look at New York through Grey's eyes as well as a visual retrospective of his career. The exhibition's opening night reception will take place on the evening of Monday, April 11, which is also Grey's 79th birthday. It will open to the public the following day, and remain on display through Monday, August 8.

It attempts to break down cultural and dramatic expectations and create space for audiences to experience moments and episodes of connection and recognition with unusual juxtapositions, beauty, and dissonance.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its 2011 spring season. Since 1984, in over 300 programs, New Yorkers have been able to see, hear, and meet the most acclaimed artists in the world, in an intimate setting unlike any other. Each 80-minute program informs artistic creation through stimulating artist discussion and performance and is presented in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater. Each season Works & Process champions new works and offers unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. After most programs, the artists continue the discussion at a reception in the museum's rotunda. Described by the New York Times as 'a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process,' Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson.

According to the NY Times, Cherry Lane Theatre's Angelina Fiordellisi, will resign as Artistic Director sometime between March and June of 2011. Additionally, Fiordellisi plans to sell the building, which has been a Greenwich Village staple since 1924, due to ongoing financial struggles.
