Legendary actor and comedian Freddie Prinze comes to life on stage when Frigid New York, in association with Prinze LLC., presents PRINZE: THE ONE-MAN SHOW. Playing a limited 22-performance engagement, PRINZE runs October 25 through November 18 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in the Black Box Theater. Performances are Thursday to Saturday at7:30PM, with matinees on Sundays at 3PM. The Board of Directors of the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute are excited to usher in a new chapter in the organization's evolution, with the unanimous appointment of Melody Capote as Executive Director. For over thirty of the forty-two years CCCADI has been in existence, Ms. Capote has worked alongside founder Dr. Marta Moreno Vega, first as a development associate and later as deputy director. She has been instrumental in developing CCCADI into one of the world's most vital institutions for the preservation of African Diaspora culture, positioned within a lens of social justice. Sobini Films announced today that Oscar®-nominee James Cromwell, two-time Oscar®-nominee Bruce Dern and award-winning actress Naturi Naughton have joined Dayo Okeniyi in the cast in the Civil War-era EMPEROR, directed by Mark Amin, the veteran producer and former Vice Chairman of Lionsgate. Harry Lennix, Kat Graham, Ben Robson and Keean Johnson have also joined to round out the cast. Cromwell and Dern will play John Brown and Levi Coffin, respectively, two of the great heroes of the American abolitionist movement. Naughton plays the role of "Sarah Green," the wife of abolitionist and runaway slave Shields Green. The film is produced by Reginald Hudlin for Hudlin Entertainment and by Cami Winikoff and Amin for Sobini, with a script co-written by Amin and Pat Charles. Sobini's Tyler Boehm is executive producing. UTA is handling domestic sales. EMPEROR is currently in production in Savannah, Georgia.
