On Tuesday night, the Academy's Board of Governors voted to rescind the Original Song nomination for 'Alone Yet Not Alone,' music by Bruce Broughton and lyric by Dennis Spiegel. The decision was prompted by the discovery that Broughton, a former Governor and current Music Branch executive committee member, had emailed members of the branch to make them aware of his submission during the nominations voting period.

Tony nominee Daniel Breaker just announced via Twitter that he will soon join the cast of THE BOOK OF MORMON as tribal chief 'Mafala.' He writes: I'm pleased to join the @BookofMormon this Feb on B'way!!! Come see me play Mafala in this absolutely hilarious show!!! #LoveMormon'. Breaker will replace original cast member Michael Potts.

The producers of the First National Tour of the THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Wharton Center announced today that single tickets will go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10:00am. The Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q will be featured on the Lifetime TV series "Celebrity Bucket List" on Saturday, Jan. 25th (check local listings for broadcast times across the U.S.) in a half-hour segment with best-selling author Jodi Picoult ("My Sister's Keeper"), who realizes her lifelong dream of appearing in a show on stage. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins January 28 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2013/2014 season. Today, Walt Disney Studios has unveiled the first images from the Frozen-inspired suite at Quebec City's famed Hôtel de Glace, in celebration of Disney's 'FROZEN' Blu-ray & Digital HD release. Created entirely out of sculpted ice and snow and supervised by the film's art director Michael Giaimo, the 'Frozen Suite' is modeled after Anna & Elsa's bedrooms. The collaboration will also include a 'Frozen Activity Cave' bringing the wonder of Disney's wintry tale to life like never before. The suite will be unveiled this weekend and remain open through March 23.

In late winter and early spring, theaters all around Houston start unveiling their upcoming seasons, in hopes of keeping current season subscribers and gaining new ones. Kicking off this annual season of unveiling is Gexa Energy's Broadway at the Hobby Center 2014-2015 Season announcement.
