The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today three musicals to be developed at the 2013 National Music Theater Conference.

Due to strong advanced ticket sales, The Human Race Theatre Company is adding five evening performances to the original June 6 - 23 run of Avenue Q. The run of the show is now extended through Saturday, June 29.

On Broadway, The Book of Mormon has broken the Eugene O'Neill Theatre's house record 44 times. The National Tour of The Book of Mormon has continually broken house records across the country since opening in Denver in the summer of 2012. The Chicago production of The Book of Mormon holds the house record at the Bank of America Theatre. 'Avenue Q' is the smash-hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent comedy. The show comes to Center Stage at the Jewish Community Center, April 11 - 28, 2013 (varied days/times).

Center for Puppetry Arts has announced its upcoming 2013-2014 season. To celebrate its milestone 35th anniversary, the Center will continue its tradition of presenting great storytelling through puppetry, including innovative adaptations and dynamic new works by the Center's company, as well as acclaimed artists from across the U.S.

The producers of The Book of Mormon, which opened Thursday night at London's Prince of Wales Theatre, announced that the show set a record for the biggest single day of sales in West End and Broadway history. Between 10:00 AM and Midnight on Friday, March 22, the day after opening, £2,107,972 ($3,210,019) was taken in ticket sales. 150,000 additional tickets have been made available and the show is now booking until January 11, 2014.

East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans announces the lineup of Broadway's biggest hits for the 2013 - 2014 season to be showcased at the newly-renovated Saenger Theatre.
