THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins tonight, June 24th at The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN and plays a limited one week engagement through June 29th. In Memphis, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece (cash only). This lottery will be held prior to every performance.

Avenue Q has been called the 'funniest dirty musical' or 'the dirtiest funny musical' ever. Written by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Frozen) the Tony Award-winning show is a clever and irreverent look at the world through the eyes of the residents of Avenue Q as they explore and address the issues associated with growing up in the 'real' world, rather than the one their parents - and Sesame Street - described to them. AVENUE Q at Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue is selling out, and it has been extendedinto the fall. The hilarious musical comedy starring very naughty puppets now plays through October 26, 2014. I am one of those people. In fact, the one thing I absolutely believe in is musical theater. I don't claim it as a religion, but I do claim it can cure a host of ills and know that its devotees are fervid in their faith in the curative power of a good musical. I am supremely grateful that I saw my first Broadway show at the age of 5 and that my faith in that art form has never wavered in the least. Now, The Book of Mormon has reinforced that faith.
