Park Avenue Armory Appoints Pierre Audi as Artistic Director

Park Avenue Armory today announced the appointment of Pierre Audi as Artistic Director. A critically acclaimed director and artistic director, Audi will continue to lead the Dutch National Opera, a role he has held since 1988 while also serving as Artistic Director of the Holland Festival in Amsterdam from 2004 until 2014. He previously was the founding Artistic Director of the pioneering Almeida Theatre in London. Audi will join Park Avenue Armory in October 2015 to begin planning its 2017 season.

Royal Conservatory of Music Presents 21C MUSIC FESTIVAL in Toronto This Weekend

After a successful launch in 2014, the 21C Music Festival returns with a new line-up of artists from today, May 20, to May 24, 2015. The festival will again run over five nights and consist of eight concerts, featuring music composed mostly during the 21st century, which once again crosses boundaries and genres: rock and hip hop musicians share billing with classical artists and the music of seminal electroacoustic pioneer Kaija Saariaho is celebrated.

Irish Theatre of Chicago's Full 2015-16 Season to Include, SPINNING, MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE & More

Irish Theatre of Chicago, formerly Seanachai Theatre Company, is pleased to announce its 2015-16 Season, featuring a U.S premiere and two Midwest premieres. The company's first-ever three-show season kicks off this fall with the Midwest premiere of Geraldine Aron's touching and comedic one-woman show MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, directed by Siiri Scott. ITC's 21st Season continues in March 2016 with the Midwest premiere of Gary Mitchell's intense thriller IN A LITTLE WORLD OF OUR OWN, directed by Associate Artistic Director Jeri Frederickson. The season concludes in spring 2016 with the U.S. premiere of Deirdre Kinahan's probing drama SPINNING, directed by Joanie Schultz.

NEEDLES AND OPIUM Returns to Canadian Stage, Now thru May 10

Canadian Stage presents an encore run of Needles and Opium by celebrated Canadian writer/director Robert Lepage. The magical mind-bending performance returns after impressing critics and audiences for a series of sold-out shows in Canadian Stage's 13.14 season, which also marked the production's English language premiere. Marc Labreche and Wellesley Robertson III reprise their roles for an exclusive 10 show run at the Bluma Appel Theatre (27 Front St. E) from today, May 1 to 10.

DanceWorks to Welcome Sylvain Emard Danse, Today

DanceWorks, Toronto's longest running contemporary dance series, proudly presents Montreal's acclaimed Sylvain Emard Danse in the Toronto premiere of Ce n'est pas la fin du monde (It's not the end of the world). This stunning full-length work by the award-winning choreographer Sylvain Emard runs one night only on February 28 at 8pm at Harbourfront Centre's Fleck Dance Theatre as part of Harbourfront Centre's NextSteps.

Cirque du Soleil Opens a TOTEM Pop-Up Box Office at Federation Square from 2/6 – 2/18

Cirque du Soleil, which is currently presenting its awe-inspiring production TOTEM under the Big Top at Flemington Racecourse, will be establishing a pop-up box office at Federation Square from February 6 to 18, 2015, open every day from 11am to 6pm except Monday 9 and 16 February. Tickets for all Melbourne performances of TOTEM will be available for sale at the box office as well as exclusive special offers.
