The Fam Fun Fest series is created by the award-winning Barry Kornhauser for children and their parents and grandparents and always includes a stunning, nationally-recognized professional performance; hands-on, interactive fun activities; take-home hand-outs and treats for the kids.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has announced the nominees for the 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. The winners will be announced live at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The show will broadcast live on The CW Network at 8:00 PM ET/PT.

Jane Goldman, the acclaimed writer behind hit films such as KICK-ASS, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, and THE WOMAN IN BLACK, has entered negotiations to update the script for Tim Burton's upcoming adaptation of the classic children's tale PINOCCHIO, the Hollywood Reporter announced tonight. For the first time in nearly 10 seasons on the air, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' will travel to the east coast. From tonight, October 29 - November 2, 'JKL' will broadcast from the host's birthplace, Brooklyn, NY.

Works has just announced a celebrity staged reading in celebration of The 25th Anniversary of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias to take place on Monday, 3 December 2012 at 7pm to benefit The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This special one night only event will take place at the Lucille Lortel Theater located at 121 Christopher Street in New York City, where the original production performed. Directed by Judith Ivey and starring Blythe Danner, Annie Potts as M'Lynn, the original Truvy, Margo Martindale as Ouiser, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Shelby and Sarah Stiles as Annelle. Additional cast announced soon! Music for this production has been generously donated by Bonnie Raitt and Pat Boone. With support from the 25th Anniversary Honorary Committee including Olympia Dukakis, Sally Field, Daryl Hannah, Shirley MacLaine, Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts and sponsored by Lifetime Television, Magnolia Bakery and Veranda Restaurant. A VIP reception with the cast and crew will follow this special performance.

Comedy fans will be treated to an evening filled with some of Hollywood's biggest comedic superstars appearing and performing at Spike TV's 'Eddie Murphy: One Night Only,' the first-ever televised tribute to the comedy legend. Joining the all-star talent roster, which features many of Murphy's peers and co-stars, includes Jamie Foxx, Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Nick Nolte. In addition, The Roots will perform throughout the evening as the show's house band. 'Eddie Murphy: One Night Only' will tape on Saturday, November 3 at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles and will air on Wednesday, November 14.

As BroadwayWorld first reported, a reading is currently taking place for SOAP DISH THE MUSICAL, directed by Rob Ashford, with a book by Robert Harling, music by George Stiles and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe. The cast of includes Kristin Chenoweth, John Stamos, Jane Krakowski, Cristin Milioti, Anne L. Nathan, Michael Park, Miriam Shor and Daniel Torres. At this time there has been no formal announcement, or set timetable for the show. The reading is being presented by Laurence Mark, Donald De Line and Broadway Across America.
