Directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, 1776 will run at the Millburn theatre from April 15 through May 17, 2009. 1776 was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will hold its highly celebrated annual fundraiser gala on March 28 at the at the Hilton Short Hills in Short Hills. Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte and the Board of Trustees of The Shakespeare Theatre are proud to announce that Prudential, a major supporter of The Shakespeare Theatre, will be the 2009 Gala Sponsor. This annual Shakespeare Theatre event kicks off each season and is the Theatre's largest fundraiser of the year. 'We are thrilled to return to the Hilton Shorts Hills for this dazzling event,' said Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte.
