A native of Scotland, Christina Harrison will perform original and traditional folk songs in this musical tribute to Scotland's greatest poet, Robert Burns. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Scotland's National Bard, this fun event will feature Christina's original Burns inspired tunes including the song, 'Lassi Wi' the Lint-white Locks.'

Euan Morton is homesick-but he sure picked a good year if he needed help getting over it! 2009 marks the 250th anniversary since the birth of Scotland's most famous songwriter and poet, Robert Burns. Burns (world famous for penning Auld Lang Sine) wrote hundreds of beautiful songs and poems. To celebrate, Scotland is calling '09 the Year of the Homecoming. Scottish singer/actress Fiona Kennedy, a member of Scotland?s leading theatrical family (she?s the daughter of Calum Kennedy and Anne Gillies) and former host of ?Tartan TV,? stars in the new Scottish music special HIGHLAND HEARTBEAT ? premiering Saturday, February 28 at 8 pm on WLIW21 New York Public Television and nationwide on PBS throughout March (check local listings). Best known as musical director of the North American Riverdance tours, Kennedy Aitchison is HIGHLAND HEARTBEAT?s musical director.
