Before On a Clear Day You Can See Forever ended its Broadway run yesterday, leading lady Jessie Mueller brought the show's cast to SILENCE! The Musical at P.S. 122 on their final day off this past Tuesday, January 24th.

Justin Kirk took advantage of his first night off since joining the Broadway cast of Other Desert Cities to catch SILENCE! The Musical this past Monday, January 16th.

SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, opened on July 9, 2011, recently celebrating its 100th performance at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.)

SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell ([title of show]), music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific, Newsies) currently stars David Garrison ("Married With Children," Wicked, Titanic) as Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Jenn Harris (Modern Orthodox) as Clarice Starling. The cast also includes Stephen Bienskie (The Last Session) as the notorious Buffalo Bill, Lucia Spina (Legally Blonde) as Catherine Martin, Deidre Goodwin (Chicago) as Ardelia Mapp. And Callan Bergmann (Lucky Guy), Pamela Bob (People Like Us), Harry Bouvy (Spamalot), Ashlee Dupre (Where's Charley?), Howard Kaye (Mamma Mia!), Topher Nuccio (Little Shop of Horrors), and Doug Trapp (Saratoga Trunk Songs).

The stars of SILENCE! The Musical, Brent Barrett and Jenn Harris, along with the entire cast headed into Yellow Sound Lab recording studio, NYC to create the original cast recording this past Monday, August 8th. The recording is set to be released by Ghostlight Records in October and finally musical comedy fans outside of New York will be able to enjoy the critically acclaimed score, including such song selections as 'If I Could Smell Her C---' and 'Put the F--king Lotion in the Basket.'

This past Saturday, July 23, Randy Harrison (Queer as Folk) and the entire cast and crew of Broadway's Chicago attended SILENCE! The Musical, Off-Broadway's newest smash hit, at Theatre 80. The 10:30 PM performance was particularly electric as Charlotte d'Amboise and the other Chicago cast members broke out into cheers and applause every time SILENCE's leading lady (Jenn Harris) executed her Fosse moves, as devised by director/choreographer Christopher Gattelli. Harrison and the Chicago company happily posed for onstage photos afterwards with Brent Barrett, Jenn Harris and the entire SILENCE! cast.

Saturday evening July 2nd, Joan Rivers was spotted in the audience at SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, at Theatre 80, located at 80 St. Marks Place (between First & Second Ave.) The legendary comedienne/actress was the first to leap to her feet at the end of the performance, leading the standing ovation. Joan chatted with the cast after the show and she even offered some tongue-in-cheek advice to leading lady Jenn Harris regarding her first scene. Jenn replied, 'You're an asshole!' The two actresses fell into each others arms dissolved in laughter.

Live camels, sheep, and a donkey are a poor substitute for live musicians, but The Rockettes would still be impressive dancing to the sounds of silence.
