ean Cheever and Tom Polum, producers of The Toxic Avenger - named the 'Best New Off-Broadway Musical' by the Outer Critics Circle - welcomed a new hire in the town library of Tromaville, New Jersey! Celina Carvajal assumed the role of Sarah, the sexy, blind librarian on Monday, June 15th. Original cast member Sara Chase left the production to create three roles in the musical The First Wives Club premiering at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced additional casting today for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan. Herb Foster will play Valentine; Kevin Kelly will play Sea Captain; Tony nominee Stark Sands will play Sebastian; Baylen Thomas will play Curio; Jon Patrick Walker will play Fabian; and Tony Award winner Julie White will play Maria. TWELFTH NIGHT will feature original music by symphonic folk-rock band Hem.

roducers Jean Cheever and Tom Polum have announced that Time Life will release the original cast recording of The Toxic Avenger to coincide with the new musical's New York opening night - Monday, April 6th at New World Stages. The CD's will be available at the theatre in advance of the official release date of Tuesday, May 5th. The cast recorded the score on March 9th at Avatar Recording Studios in New York City.
