The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced additional productions and readings for its 2014 Festival. This year's Festival will begin July 7 and continue through July 27. An additional slate of concerts and other events will be announced shortly.

San Jose Repertory Theatre has assembled a Bay Area 'all-star' team for its world premiere of the hilarious comedy, Game On, which runs March 27 through April 19, 2014. Written by Dan Hoyle and Berkeley Rep's Artistic Director Tony Taccone, and directed by San Jose Rep's Producing Artistic Director Rick Lombardo, the uproarious and irreverent new comedy sizzles when Vinnie and Alvin played by local stars Marco Barricelli, co-artistic director of Santa Cruz Shakespeare, and Craig Marker set out to reverse their fortunes and save the environment in the process.

San Jose Rep, the flagship theatre of San Jose, has just announced its full 2014-15 season, which is set to include two world premieres- Wuthering Heights and The 12. They write: 'Our 2014-2015 season is an extraordinary journey around the world and across centuries featuring two world premieres, larger than life characters with sizzling international flair and spectacularly diverse music -brought to life by daring and award-winning actors, directors and designers.' Not a typical Broadway musical, San Jose Repertory Theatre's world premiere of "The Snow Queen" is a unique experience. The Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale does not lend itself naturally to stage. Without its country-twanged score, San Jose's production could pass as a mere children's play. But the final product proves itself so much more. Although it takes time for the characters to pull their audience into the journey, the production's multitalented cast, raw sound and layered themes make it a musical to discuss and digest well after the ensemble bows.

San Jose Repertory Theatre's board of trustees today announced that it has changed the leadership model of the venerable 33-year-old company from a dual CEO structure to a single CEO model. Artistic Director Rick Lombardo, who joined San Jose Rep in 2008, will assume the newly created position of Producing Artistic Director effective immediately. Mr. Lombardo previously held a similar position for 10 years at New Repertory Theatre in Boston.
