Nice Swan Theatre Company will be one of the first in the UK to stage the musical version of the cult TV hit The Addams Family.

Artistic Director Blake Robison announced the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2014-15 season today. The Playhouse's 55th season - which is Robison's third as artistic director - boasts a homegrown world premiere, two Tony Award-winning plays, recent New York hits and musical tributes to Johnny Cash and Tri-State native Rosemary Clooney.

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, the five-time Tony Award winning musical play written by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice and directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award?nominee Alex Timbers, will play the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre for a one week engagement, from May 27 - June 1, 2014. Presented in Boston by the Citi Performing Arts Center, tickets for PETER AND THE STARCATCHER are on sale.

Yesterday Artistic Director Mark Clements announced Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 2014/15 Season. 'Next season will offer strong stories that are substantive pieces of theater that are both enlightening and entertaining,' said Clements. 'The season includes two exciting world premieres, after all the terrible things I do and Five Presidents. We will also continue the tradition that I started upon my arrival by including a musical on our main stage - the first production in the Quadracci Powerhouse will be the award-winning musical, The Color Purple. Audiences responded so enthusiastically to last year's production of Ragtime, I believe they are in for another treat with The Color Purple.'

I don't think there's any "jukebox musical" that's as entertaining and interesting as JERSEY BOYS, and there are a lot of musicals out there that rely on classic rock, pop, country and blues for their score. What sets JERSEY BOYS apart from the rest is the fact that it actually has a story to tell (book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice), and it integrates these timeless tunes seamlessly (music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, although a plethora of other songwriters contribute as well) by examining how they were created and recorded. The current touring production playing the Fabulous Fox Theatre is a nostalgic blast that's sharply performed and staged.

Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker have announced that Red-Eye to Havre de Grace will begin performances Tuesday, April 22 at 7pm at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4 Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Red-Eye to Havre de Grace is by Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental, created by Thaddeus Phillips, Jeremy Wilhelm, David Wilhelm, Geoff Sobelle, Sophie Bortolussi with Ean Sheehy and music by Wilhelm Bros. & Co. and direction and stage design by Thaddeus Phillips, Opening night is set for Thursday, May 1 at 7pm. Red-Eye to Havre de Grace is scheduled to run through Sunday, June 1, 2014.

JERSEY BOYS celebrates its 2,500th performance in London tomorrow, Thursday 20 February 2014, at the Prince Edward Theatre, where it opened in 2008. Its last performance there will be on Sunday 9 March, and then it moves to the Piccadilly Theatre, opening there on Saturday 15 March. The show will celebrate its 6th Birthday in London on 18 March. The musical has now been seen by over 19 million people worldwide and is firmly established as one of the West End's longest running and most popular shows. The show will also be touring the United Kingdom for the first time from September 2014.

The 2013/2014 National Tour of the musical The Addams Family, based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, will make its McCallum Theatre premiere, as part of the Rabobank Broadway Blockbuster Series, for five performances, Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16. The Addams Family, which began performances on Broadway in March 2010 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and ran through December 2011, immediately became one of Broadway's biggest hits. Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune described the production as 'classic, full-tilt, fast paced, old-fashioned musical comedy!' and John Simon of Bloomberg News called it 'Uproarious! The five-time Tony Award-winning musical play Peter and the Starcatcher, making its Minnesota premiere in a limited engagement March 11-16, 2014, has inspired a new extension of Hennepin Theatre Trust's Made Here Cultural District window display initiative featuring the work of local artists. Peter and the Starcatcher's Tony Award-winning sustainable set design uses recycled materials and was the impetus behind this new Made Here storefront window which captures the spirit of the touring production.

The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS will perform the National Anthem at the 138th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden tonight, Monday, February 10. The Anthem and show will be televised from 8:00pm to 11pm Eastern on CNBC-TV.
