Fifty years after her legendary Carnegie Hall debut, The New York Pops remembers Hollywood icon Judy Garland with a song-for-song re-creation of the 1961 performance that is referred to by so many as "the greatest night in show business history".

Songwriting duo and Larson Award winners Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, Henry and Mudge) will celebrate the launch of their debut album Our First Mistake with their first concert tour, named for their fans-YOU MADE THIS TOUR. Jim Caruso presents songwriter Andrew Gerle and his talented friends in 'Say We Flew - The Songs of Andrew Gerle'. The concert will take place on Monday, January 31 at 7pm as part of the Broadway at Birdland series, which showcases performers and writers from the Great White Way. Singing Andrew's songs will be Karen Ziemba, Carrie Manolakos, Mark Linn-Baker, Christa Justus, Richard Maltby, Jr., Pamela Bob, Cassie Wooley & Victoria Huston-Elem.

Broadway cast members will perform at a benefit for the children of PS 166 - The Richard Rodgers School - on Monday, February 7th, at 7pm in the school's auditorium.

Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre has announced the artistic team behind the upcoming world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly), which begins performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011. And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year.

Merkin Concert Hall's Broadway Playhouse series continues to introduce New York's next generation of musical theater fans ages 4-11 to some of the greatest Broadway musicals of all time. The 2011 series kicked off with a sold-out celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein on Jan 9 and continues with Andrew Lloyd Webber on Feb 13. The composer of enduringly popular musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lloyd Webber has won seven Tonys, three Grammys, seven Oliviers, a Golden Globe, an Oscar, two International Emmys and the Richard Rodgers Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre. New York's Cafe Carlyle comes to life in San Francisco when Bay Area Cabaret presents the winners of New York's coveted Nightlife Award, jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli and his wife, Broadway star Jessica Molaskey (Tommy, Sunday in the Park with George).

Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook, which explores the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic songwriting, will bring to the stage some of today's most gifted interpreters of song. Week Two starts on January 26th with a tribute to arguably the greatest songwriting team in American Songbook history: the brothers George and Ira Gershwin. Conductor, arranger and pianist (as well as Artistic Director of the Gershwin centenary) Rob Fisher will lead Victoria Clark (Tony winner for Light in the Piazza) and Norm Lewis (Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid) in a night of gorgeous Gershwin. On January 27th singer/songwriter Shara Worden (from the group My Brightest Diamond) performs her unique blend of vocal music that has her pegged as a star to watch.
