Rain Pryor, actress, singer, comedian, director and author of Jokes My Father Never Taught Me, Life Love and Loss with Richard Pryor, has signed on as lead producer of BROKE WIDE OPEN. The off-broadway production stars spoken-word artist Rock WILK, who has turned the emotionally-charged search for his biological mother into an autobiographical solo play, punctuated by his own hip-hop compositions.

Rain Pryor, actress, singer, comedian, director and author of Jokes My Father Never Taught Me, Life Love and Loss with Richard Pryor, has signed on as lead producer of BROKE WIDE OPEN. The off-broadway production stars spoken-word artist Rock WILK, who has turned the emotionally-charged search for his biological mother into an autobiographical solo play, punctuated by his own hip-hop compositions. BROKE WIDE OPEN is also presented by '500 Names," a grass-roots social media and fundraising effort for the New York City premiere. The show is currently in previews with an official opening date of Friday, November 9th at The 45th Street Theatre (354 West 45th Street; Tuesday through Sunday at 8pm; Wednesday & Saturday matinees at 2pm).

The Improv Standup Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre is opening in Atlanta with a bang. The Improv perhaps best known for its A&E network show An Evening at the Improv will open in the prestigious Buckhead nightlife destination, Andrews Entertainment District, tonight, October 4th, 2012. Headlining the Atlanta Improv opening is comic legend Louie Anderson who made his television debut on the 'The Tonight Show' in 1984 with Johnny Carson.
