As previously announced, double platinum selling artist Newton Faulkner joins the cast of Green Day's explosive Tony Award-winning musical, AMERICAN IDIOT, on its UK tour this spring. Newton will be taking on the role of Johnny from May 2016 after Matt Thorpe, who will open the role from 19 March at the Curve Theatre, Leicester until 7 May at the New Theatre, Oxford. ?At the 20th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Repertory Company will honor local artists Len Cabral and Charlene Carpenzano with Rhode Island Pell Awards for Excellence in the Arts alongside previously announced honorees The Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis, Laurie Eustis and Elizabeth Chace. Following on from its hugely successful and critically acclaimed London run at the Arts Theatre, Leicester Square, Green Day's explosive, Tony Award winning Broadway musical American Idiot, will now be extending its UK tour into July 2016, with four more venues added, including the Spa Theatre, Bridlington (7-11 June), Theatre Royal, Nottingham (14-18 June), Empire Theatre, Liverpool (21-25 June) and the Grand Opera House, Belfast (28 June - 2 July).

Kip Simmons directs the musical based on the 1967 film of the same name, starring Julie Andrews. Richard Morris wrote the original story and screenplay for Universal Pictures. CHRYSANTHEMUM, which opened in London in 1956, was the basis for the story and screenplay.

Cockpit in Court continues its 2015 season with an old-fashioned musical...Thoroughly Modern Millie. The roaring twenties set the tone for a time when women wanted to become 'moderns', in a funny love story full of clever music and spectacular dancing. The show runs from today, July 17th to August 2nd. Individual tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $14 for children 12 and under.
