The Public Theater Extends GATZ Through 11/14

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced today that it would extend GATZ, the critically acclaimed theatrical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, by two weeks due to extraordinary demand.

Incubator Arts Project 2010 Announced

Formerly a project of the Ontological-Hysteric Theater, the Incubator Arts Project supports independent, experimental performing artists through a series of programs aimed at offering production opportunities and guidance with long-term growth and artistic sustainability. Ontological-Hysteric Theater To Depart Performance Space at St. Mark's Church 6/30

The Ontological-Hysteric Theater announced today that it will cease operations at the theater space at St. Mark's Church in the Bowery at the end of the 2009-2010 season (June 30, 2010). Since taking up a permanent home at St. Mark's Theater in 1992, the Ontological has presented annual theater works by Richard Foreman, whose trademark 'total theater' unites elements of the performing arts, visual art, philosophy, psychoanalysis, literature and, in recent years, film.
