Casting has been announced today for the European premiere of Guards at the Taj, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Danny Ashok (Disgraced, Bush Theatre; Capital, BBC) will play Humayun and Darren Kuppan (East is East, West End/ UK Tour) will play Babur.

Philip Ridley's widely acclaimed 1991 play has been revived by Jamie Lloyd, and is back in its native East End for a limited run in conjunction with its partner production Killer. In a change from Lloyd's usual big, brash West End style, The Pitchfork Disney is being played in the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall. It follows in the footsteps of Trainspotting as an immersive piece of theatre with cult appeal.

Today Shoreditch Town Hall announces an immersive double-bill of Philip Ridley plays, including the world premiere of Killer and a new production of Ridley's contemporary classic The Pitchfork Disney, his first stage play which premiered in 1991. The productions will both be directed by Jamie Lloyd and run in 'The Ditch' basement spaces of Shoreditch Town Hall in spring 2017.

As Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party will receive its first major London production at The Other Palace, playing from Saturday 11 February to Saturday 1 April 2017, with a press night on Monday 20 February. Directed and choreographed by 2016 Olivier Award winner Drew McOnie and starring Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle, The Wild Party will be the inaugural production at The Other Palace, formerly St. James Theatre, when it reopens in February 2017 as the newest addition to The Really Useful Theatres Group and a home for new musical theatre.
