Applications for the 2009 Woodward Internship and Apprentice Programs at Westport Country Playhouse are now being accepted, according to Debra Baron, WCP director of education. 'We are looking for interns nationwide and apprentices locally who are multi-talented and true team players,' said Ms. Baron. Alan Ayckbourn's comic trilogy of plays, THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, will come to Broadway directly following its sold out critically acclaimed run in London. The production, the latest success for The Old Vic Theatre Company under the artistic leadership of Kevin Spacey, will play for 16 weeks only. THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, directed by Matthew Warchus, opens Thursday, April 23 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street). Previews begin Tuesday, April 7.

IMDB has reported that Kevin Spacey has dropped plans to star in a West End production of A Star Is Born. The Award winning Spacey was set to play the role of washed up star Norman Maine in a new stage adaptation of the famous film, to be presented at London's Old Vic theatre, where Spacey is artistic director.

The Old Vic's World Premiere of the new play, COMPLICIT by Joe Sutton and directed in-the-round by Kevin Spacey which was postponed for nine days, officially opens tonight, January 28th. It was originally scheduled to open on the 19th. Richard
