These new photographs of Dean Chisnall, Richard Blackwood, Kimberley Walsh and Neil McDermott were taken backstage last night before the first performance of the new cast of SHREK: THE MUSICAL at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London.

Dean Chisnall will play Shrek and Neil McDermott will play Lord Farquaad in the West End stage hit SHREK THE MUSICAL® from February 29, 2012. They will join Richard Blackwood who will continue in the role of Donkey in the hit musical at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Stars of stage and screen descended on London's legendary Cafe de Paris, for a bold fundraising event, which saw hot performers get their kit off for charity. Hosted by TVs top fashion guru, Gok Wan - famous for his expert styling in dressing ordinary people up as well as making them look good naked - the event, West End Bares, involved around 100 of theatreland's finest. SHREK THE MUSICAL® and The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts today announced that a Royal Gala performance will be held on Wednesday 8 June at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, President of The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts, will attend this special performance, hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Animation SKG, which will be in support of Children & the Arts.

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, the upcoming West End production of Shrek will receive many changes before opening at Theatre Royal. The cast will be lead by Nigel Lindsey as Shrek, Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad, Richard Blackwood as Donkey, and Amanda Holden as Princess Fiona.

According to a report by Mail Online, in addtion to Nigel Lindsay, who will be playing the title character, Nigel Harmen, Richard Blackwood, and Amanda Holden will be joining the upcoming London production of Shrek as Lord Farquaad, Donkey and Princess Fiona respectively.

SHREK THE MUSICAL® will open at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in May 2011. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 1, 2010. The new stage musical will be booking until February 19, 2012.

Richard Blackwood, Derek Griffiths and Nina Sosanya join the previously announced Sanaa Lathan, Adrian Lester, Phylicia Rashad and James Earl Jones in Debbie Allen's sell-out Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. Produced by Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones for Front Row Productions, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof will run at the Novello Theatre from 21 November to 10 April 2010, with press night on 1 December. Set designs are by Morgan Large with costume designs by Fay Fullerton, lighting by David Holmes, sound by Richard Brooker and original music by Andrew 'Tex' Allen.
