 At its third annual Eight Over Eighty benefit gala last night, The New Jewish Home(formerly, Jewish Home Lifecare), one of the country's largest and most diversified nonprofit eldercare systems, honored eight trailblazing New Yorkers over 80. The event, at the Mandarin Oriental New York,attracted 440 guests and raised $1.2 million for The New Jewish Home's rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home health care programs, which together serve 12,000 older New Yorkers each year. Welsh song stylist Iris Williams will make a rare West Coast appearance on Wed., April 13 at 8:30 PM at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, performing her acclaimed show entitled 'I Wish You Love,' featuring classic American standards by such composers as Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, Burton Lane, and others. Music Director Keith Droste will be on piano, with Jeff Stover on bass and Andy Fraga on drums. She will also appear at the Purple Room in Palm Springs on Friday, April 8 at 7:00 PM.

The life, career and legacy of the late Mark Murphy, whom the Washington Post described as "a daringly original jazz singer whose unchained improvisational style made him a cult favorite and a powerful influence on a generation of younger performers," will be celebrated with music and reminiscences on Monday, March 14, 2016 at St Peter's Church in Manhattan.

The Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) will take concertgoers Over The Rainbow and beyond on Friday, March 18 at 7:30 pm at A Tribute to Judy Garland featuring acclaimed vocalist and recording artist Hilary Kole. A Tribute to Judy Garland celebrates the timeless wonder of music made famous by Garland - the singer Fred Astaire called 'the greatest entertainer that ever lived.' Off-Broadway's musical smash RUTHLESS! is adding Thursday performances beginning this week. Now extended into the summer, RUTHLESS! opened on July 13, 2015 to unanimous rave reviews led by Entertainment Weekly which called the show, 'Uproarious! A mash-up of THE BAD SEED, GYPSY, ALL ABOUT EVE, plus the films of Douglas Sirk and John Waters!' Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli, an evening of Minnelli's most popular songs will be performed on the legendary entertainer's 70th birthday.

Sally Kellerman, the Oscar-nominated "Hot Lips" Houlihan of the original Robert Altman film 'M*A*S*H,' will bring her acclaimed show, 'A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll' to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood for a special post-holiday engagement on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 8:00 PM.
