Date Announced for Netflix Sitcom Series Starring Rev Run and Justine Simmons

Today Netflix announced that it's newest scripted comedy series starring Rev Run and his wife Justine Simmons, All About The Washingtons will debut August 10th, 2018 at 12:01 AM PT.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the second season premiere of its hit docu-series “Black Love” on Saturday, May 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series which highlights love stories from the Black community debuted last fall with 1.2 million total viewers, becoming OWN's most-watched unscripted series debut in network history and its highest-rated unscripted series debut in more than four years in the network's key W25-54 demo.

Executive produced by filmmaking heavyweights Steven Spielberg and Alex Gibney and directed by Geeta Gandbhir and Sam Pollard (Emmy(R) winners for 'When The Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts'), the powerful six-part television event investigates the human capacity for hatred - and how we can overcome it. The illuminating series will debut on Discovery Channel in 2019.

Amazon Studios today announced it has greenlit a straight-to-series order of a four-hour miniseries based on the epic saga of Hernan Cortes. The series, from three-time Academy Award-winner Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan) and Amblin Television, is created for television and written by Academy Award-winner Steven Zaillian (Schindler's List) and based on the screenplay by Dalton Trumbo (Roman Holiday). Emmy-winning Zaillian, Emmy-winning Darryl Frank (The Americans) and Emmy-nominated Justin Falvey (The Americans) are set to executive produce, and Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) is set to star and executive produce.

Freeform, Disney's young adult television network, today announced “Marvel's Cloak & Dagger” will have its world premiere watch party during South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, on March 11, as partner programming.
