New York-based music favorites Renee& The Derelicts bring their blend of classic and original blues, rock and soul to the SIDEWALK Bar / Restaurant (94 Avenue A) in Manhattan's East Village on Friday, October 16, 2015.
The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with Mark Cortale, has added two new leading ladies to the line-up of Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Concert Series, for the 2015-16 season. Performances by Tony-Award winners Kelli O'Hara and Sutton Foster have been added due to popular demand, completing the roster of Broadway powerhouses to perform with Sirius XM star Seth Rudetsky. The series kicks off with Tony-Award winner Audra McDonald on Wednesday, October 7. Additional performances in the series will take place on Friday, January 29 (Kelli O'Hara), Thursday, March 3 (Sutton Foster), and as previously announced, Thursday, May 5 (Megan Hilty). All performances will be held at the Merriam Theater at 8:00 p.m. In this unique series, Rudetsky will serve as pianist and host, engaging in intimate and witty conversations with the Broadway stars, all while presenting an evening of stellar performances of musical theater favorites.

Taking place at The JW Marriott Essex House (160 Central Park South), the Broadway Beacon Awards are presented to individuals in the theatre and Times Square community who have been advocates for increasing the audience for live theatre and for understanding the importance of Arts and Education in the lives of New York City's young people. The first Broadway Beacon Award was given to Carol Channing in 1995.

The Cleveland Orchestra announces a Gala Concert on Saturday, October 3, at 7 p.m., with soprano Renee Fleming joining Music Director Franz Welser-Most and The Cleveland Orchestra in performance. Chaired by Norma Lerner, co-chair, Nancy McCann and corporate chair, KeyBank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Beth Mooney, the Gala Concert supports educational services that the Orchestra provides for the Northeast Ohio community. Hsu, M.D., and Robert H. Pass, M.D. Both are leading pediatric heart specialists at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the pediatric division of Einstein's University hospital.
