59E59 Theaters will welcome The Acting Company to the 2015/2016 5A Season with the US premiere of DESIRE An Evening of Plays Based on Six Stories by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Michael Wilson, DESIRE features new plays written by John Guare, Beth Henley, Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm and Elizabeth Egloff. DESIRE begins performances on Wednesday, September 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 11. Opening Night is Thursday, September 10 at 7 PM.  Margot Harley, who co-founded The Acting Company with John Houseman in 1972, will step down as its Producer effective the end of this year.  The Acting Company began with the first graduating class of Juilliard's Drama Division, which included Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers.  "They were classically trained, superbly talented and had worked together for four years," stated Ms. Harley.

In the first play of a trilogy marking Magic's historic co-commission with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Luis Alfaro (Oedipus el Rey, Bruja), returns to Magic Theatre to tell the sweeping story of a multi-generational Latino family's California odyssey. This Golden State -- Part One: Delano begins tonight, May 20th at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.

The show starts with an innocent blind date that quickly turns into a dangerous obsession. For Theresa, an accomplished journalist, her life is now spiraling chaotically out of control as she experiences a violent terror that's all too familiar.

Seattle Repertory Theatre's 2015-2016 season was announced today by Acting Artistic Director Braden Abraham.
