Written by Dan Hoyle, directed by Tamilla Woodard and developed with Maureen Towey & Tamilla Woodard, the production begins previews today, May 28th with an official opening on Tuesday, June 7th at 7:00PM. Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) has announced 16 new events and performances for 2016-2017, featuring world-class performances in music, dance, comedy, speakers and family entertainment. Tickets will be available to members of Luther Burbank Center for the Arts beginning Monday, May 23, 2016 and on sale to the general public on Friday, June 3, 2016 at noon. Tickets and memberships may be purchased online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by phone at 707.546.3600 or in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa (open daily, 12 - 6 p.m.).

Working Theater, the Off-Broadway company that in 2013 staged a production (about undocumented workers crossing the border to find work in this country) in the confines of an actual 48' trailer truck, will once again shed a unique light on a group of individuals rarely portrayed on stage. Under the direction of Artistic Producing Director Mark Plesent, the company will present THE BLOCK - a new play about community in the Bronx - which is no longer burning, but where life on the streets is as brutal as ever.

Capitol Music Group (CMG), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world's leading music company, announced today that Ashley Newton has been named President of CMG and Executive Vice President of Creative/Special Projects for UMG. The announcement was made by CMG Chairman and CEO Steve Barnett and UMG Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge, to whom Newton reports in his respective positions. In his newly-created CMG Presidency, Newton will work closely with Barnett and members of his executive team to set the creative direction of the company and oversee management of its day-to-day operations. In his UMG role, Newton will work with Grainge and his executive team on a variety of creative endeavors, including music, film and television projects. Newton will be based in Hollywood at CMG's iconic Capitol Tower.
