Alfred Solis and Keith Robinson have announced that STANDBY - The Musical has been extended as part of the 2012 FringeNYC Encore Series, featuring the best shows from the 16th annual New York International Fringe Festival. STANDBY will have five performances: 9/7@7:30PM, 9/14@7:30PM, 9/20@7:30PM, 9/27@7:30PM, 9/29@7:30 PM at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal St. New York, NY 10012.

According to the New York Post, Leap of Faith's Jessica Phillips will co-star alongside Josh Segarra and comedian Godfrey in the FX sitcom pilot 'Bronx Warrants.' Phillips will play Adele, wife to DeStefano, who will be played by Robert Kelly. The role will be her TV debut.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has launched The Saturday Arts Program (SAP), a training ground for passionate young performers. Classes will take place weekly from September 22nd - November 17th at the Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Solebury High School, and the Solebury School.

Award-winning actors Roger Bart, Anna Chlumsky and Raul Esparza will guest star on an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: SVU." The episode, titled "Twenty-Five Acts" will air next fall and centers on the author of a best-selling erotic novel (Chlumsky) who accuses a high-profile talk show host (Bart) of a brutal rape. The SVU detectives face an uphill battle when they find that her account of the rape is exactly like the chapters in her book, and along with the DA's office (Esparza), they struggle to keep the case from turning into a media circus.

For over twenty-five years, the late Bradshaw Smith (Founder & Executive Producer of "Broadway Beat" and Applause Video) was the theater world's preeminent videographer, capturing over 1,000 performances on Broadway, off-Broadway, in cabaret halls and beyond that now, because of him, live on today. Bradshaw Smith died on January 16, 2012, at age 57, following a sudden and severe stroke. To conclude the intimate memorial, Bradshaw's longtime friend and editor, Jonathan Frank, compiled the best of Bradshaw's work as a video artist. After a three-year absence, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway returns to the 47th Street Theatre with a brand new edition, Forbidden Broadway: ALIVE AND KICKING. The show, which opens Thursday, September 6, will run for a limited engagement through January 6, 2013. Previews begin on July 24th. BroadwayWorld has learned that Jenny Lee Stern, Natalie Charle Ellis, Scott Richard Foster and Marcus Stevens will all star in the show.

This production will mark FORBIDDEN BROADWAY's 30th Anniversary, as well as its 21st edition.

Last night, June 18, The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Delacorte Theater, home of Shakespeare in the Park, and honored Al Pacino for his body of work at The Public. The evening included a benefit reading of Romeo and Julie featuring Kevin Kline as Romeo and Meryl Streep as Juliet. On hand to celebrate were the likes of Julia Stiles, Chelsea Clinton, Steve Martin and many more who have both particiated and enjoyed the works at the Delacorte.
