The Ogunquit Playhouse announced that it has received ten Independent Reviewers of New England Award (IRNE) Nominations for its 2011 production of Miss Saigon, including Best Musical in the "Large Theatre" category.
According to a report on nypost.com, the musical GIANT, which played last month at the Dallas Theater Center, will be heading to the Public Theater in Fall and has potential to transfer to Broadway.
The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community, and this year's nominations have just been announced. IRNE Reviewers include among others David Brooks Andrews, Sheila Barth, Jules Becker, Kay Bourne, Beverly Creasey, Shirley Esthimer, Richard Fahey, Guy Giampapa, Norm Gross, Nancy Grossman, Bryce Lambert, Beatrice Lee, Kilian Melloy and Larry Stark.

Philippine Development Foundation USA ('PhilDev') will hold its annual fundraising gala at the prestigious AlIce Tully Hall, Lincoln Center with a concert event entitled 'PhilDev Celebrates Broadway: Suites by Sondheim,' directed by Victor Lirio, on Monday, November 7th, 2011 at 7:30PM. Tom Myron will serve as conductor and music director.

Tramuto Foundation, this stunning Broadway blockbuster will be offered to the hearing impaired and deaf communities during two special performances with American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. The first is for the general public on Thursday, October 13, at 8PM during the regularly scheduled performance. The second is for a special performance exclusively for Middle and High School students on Wednesday, October 19th at 10AM.
