Atlantic Theater Company's FARRAGUT NORTH begins previews tonight, Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 and officially opens Wednesday, November 12th, 2008.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Andrew D. Hamingson, Managing Director) is proud to present the world premiere production of Beau Willimon's play FARRAGUT NORTH, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt), and featuring Dan Bittner (The Vertical Hour) Kate Blumberg (Atlantic's Celebration and The Room), Tony Award winner John Gallagher, Jr. (Spring Awakening), Golden Globe Award nominee Chris Noth ('Sex and the City'), Otto Sanchez (HBO's 'Oz'), Olivia Thirlby (Juno) and Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (HBO's 'The Wire').

Following it's sold out engagement, Atlantic Theater Company's critically acclaimed world premiere of David Pittu's comedy WHAT'S THAT SMELL: THE MUSIC OF JACOB STERLING will transfer to an Off-Broadway run at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Performances will begin Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Atlantic Theater Company announced today that Jeffory Lawson has been appointed the new Managing Director as of December 1st, 2008.

On Sunday, September 28th at 7:00pm, Dreamlight Theatre Company will present the next installment of 'Bright Lights', a concert series dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging composers and lyricists in musical theatre.

The concert, appropriately dubbed 'The Out-of-Towners' Edition, will feauture the work of some incredible musical theatre writers from around the country: Brian Mazaferri (Chicago), Michael Mahler & Alan Schmuckler (Chicago), Matt Conner (Washington DC), and Michael Biello & Dan Martin (Philadelphia).
