The Costume Institute's spring 2015 exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass, will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 7 through August 16, 2015 (preceded on May 4 by The Costume Institute Benefit). There are good reasons why the usual big names are so far removed. After all, it is the declared purpose of editors Steven Vogel, Nicholas Schonberger, and Calum Gordon to create a book that 'sets out to cut through the PR gloss of so much fashion writing.'
