English Touring Theatre today announces the appointment of Richard Twyman as the company's new Artistic Director. Twyman takes up the position in November 2016, taking over from Rachel Tackley who leaves the company to join Chichester Festival Theatre.

Daniel Evans today announces his final season as Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director, including the eagerly anticipated news of the Crucible's Christmas show, Irving Berlin's whip-cracking musical Annie Get Your Gun. The season also includes two world premieres on the Crucible stage - an adaptation of a classic novel and an exciting new musical set in Sheffield. A poignant moment in the city's history is told on the Studio stage along with a heart-warming family tale for the festive period.
English Touring Theatre & Stage One Announce New Apprenticeship

English Touring Theatre and Stage One, a charity dedicated to supporting the next generation of theatre producers, today announce a new scheme that will see an aspiring producer join English Touring Theatre for an 18 month apprenticeship. The successful candidate will work with the senior management and play an important role within English Touring Theatre's production and touring operation. He will be working alongside DirectorRachel Tackley, Executive Producer Jane Claire and Producer James Quaife. Woodhouse joins English Touring Theatre in February 2016 from Theatre 503 where he is currently Executive Director.

English Touring Theatre and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse today announce the full cast for the world premiere of their co-production of The Odyssey: Missing Presumed Dead. The production reunites Simon Armitage and Nick Bagnall after their recent collaborations on The Last Days of Troy and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Nick Bagnall directs Lee Armstrong, Simon Dutton, Roger Evans, Polly Frame, David Hartley, Ranjit Krishnamma, Chris Reilly, Sule Rimi, Danusia Samal, Colin Tierney and Susie Trayling.
