EVITA began as a rock opera concept album. The success of the album led to the 1978 production on London's West End and the 1979 production on Broadway. With a slew of regional productions, revivals, and tours, EVITA continues to capture the hearts of audiences, and the U.S. National Tour of the 2012 Broadway Revival production is a prime example of why.
Studio Tenn's season finale production of the operatic epic 'Les Miserables' will celebrate Claude-Michel Schonburg's stirring, masterful score: the core of this sweeping contemporary phenomenon. Made into a major Hollywood motion picture in 2012, 'Les Mis' is the theatre title currently on everyone's lips. In Studio Tenn's production, the music, foremost, will triumph-its full majesty aptly showcased amid the grandeur of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center's acoustically unparalleled Laura Turner Hall on May 3 and 4, 2014.

Expect the Unexpected. This was the tag line for Tennessee Performing Arts Center's announcement of their 2014-2015 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC series this year. With strong connections to the theatre world and to the music industry, Nashville is the prime place to have a season full of fresh and edgy productions that are still on their first national tour, and TPAC is making that happen with their 2014-2015 season.
Broadway veteran Rachel Potter has just announced that a solo country album is in the works, and supporters can help to make the project a reality through PledgeMuisc. She writes: 'I have partnered with PledgeMusic to make my new album, 'Not So Black and White.' And now - I am asking you to partner with us, too! I am an independent artist, which means, I don't have a record label to pay for the expenses of making an album. But these days, you don't need a record label! We can be our own label, and YOU can be the CEO. All the songs, the producer, and the studio are ready to go - we just need your help! Please help me make this album, and together we can make a difference in country music.'
