Variety Children's Theatre just announced casting for its 7th annual performance, MARY POPPINS, playing October 23-25 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Lara Teeter will direct, with original MARY POPPINS cast member Elizabeth DeRosa and Broadway's WHITE CHRISTMAS star Drew Humphrey appearing as Mary and Bert, respectively.

An Impressionist painting, hanging for decades in the Art Institute of Chicago and donated by the charismatic philanthropist Taylor Woodmere, is challenged by an elderly woman as a Nazi theft. New Hampshire Theatre Project presents An Oz Story on July 4-12. This whimsical new musical was adapted from L. Frank Baum's original book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Portsmouth High School student Josh Goldberg, age 15, along with fellow students Ella McGrail and Corrie Owens-Beauchesne. Directed by Meghann Beauchamp, this delightful production is suitable for all ages and will introduce a whole new generation to Baum's classic tales.

On Monday, December 1, the Broadway at Birdland concert series hosted the return of Julie Halston and Julie Gold in JulieJulie: Then & Now.
