Theater in Portland is booming. There is exciting theater happening all over the city, and in the midst of it all is the burgeoning Portland Playhouse. Artistic Director, Brian Weaver, talks to us about the past, present and future of the highly regarded company.

The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the world premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Elias Harmon and directed by Daniel Aukin for the fall season. Bad Jews will begin preview performances on October 5, 2012 and will open officially on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. This is a limited engagement through December 16, 2012. All tickets for Roundabout Underground productions are $20.

Boston College alumnus and accomplished theater director Tony Taccone-artistic director of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California, one of the most prominent regional theaters in the country-returns to campus this month as the special guest and alumni honoree at the University's 14th annual Arts Festival, which will be held April 26-28, 2012. Taccone will make a number of public appearances while on campus.
