Presented by Diodati Productions, Villa Diodati has music by Mira J. Spektor, lyrics by Colette Inez, book by Colette Inez & Mira J. Spektor with additional lyrics by Byron, Shelley, Spektor & Wordsworth and will be directed by Rob Urbinati with musical direction by Thomas Carlo Bo. Villa Diodati is an official selection of the 2008 New York Music Theatre Festival and will be performed at the 45th Street Theatre (354 W 45 Street).

Performance Space 122 has announced some adjustments and additions to their fall lineup

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced its 2008-09 season: Bury the Dead, written by Irwin Shaw and directed by Joe Calarco, and Being Audrey, music and lyrics by Ellen Weiss, book by James Hindman, additional book and lyrics by Cheryl Stern, developed with Jack Cummings III and Adam R. Perlman, and directed by Jack Cummings III.

Playwright provocateur Thomas Bradshaw ignites the stage yet again in one of his signature inflammatory satires. Following sold out and controversial runs at Performance Space 122, including Prophet and Purity, and elsewhere, including Strom Thurmond Is Not a Racist and Cleansed, Bradshaw teams with acclaimed director Jose Zayas (a/d Talk Radio) for an explosive new creation that is not for the faint of heart.

MAGGIE MAES & KIMBERLY VAUGHN will present Four Women & a Waitress, at the ArcLight Theatre, June 10-22, 2008. The two plays, Rosemary with Ginger by Edward Allen Baker & The Stronger by August Strindberg, will be directed by KARL BURY & STEPHEN WADSWORTH, respectively.

On Monday, January 21, at 8PM, the 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center will present the world premiere of Seven, a documentary theater piece based on the real-life stories of seven extraordinary women from around the world who overcame adversity to make their voices heard as advocates for change.

The play New Amsterdames by Flying Fig Theater celebrated their opening night party on December 3 at the Soho Room (203 Spring St.) in Manhattan. Flying Fig Theater presents a limited engagement of New Amsterdames, written by Ellen K. Anderson and directed by Heather Ondersma. Performances run through December 16, 2007 at HERE Arts Center

Broadway legends Carol Lawrence and Donna McKechnie star in a new play, Girl's Room, by Joni Fritz, which celebrated its gala opening on Friday, November 30 at 8PM at the Queens Theatre in the Park

Flying Fig Theater presents a limited engagement of New Amsterdames, written by Ellen K. Anderson and directed by Heather Ondersma. Performances will run from December 1 - 16, 2007 at HERE Arts Center (145 6th Ave.). Previews begin December 1 for a December 3 opening.

Previews begin tonight, Friday, September 28 for the On The Leesh Productions, Inc. production of A Yorkshire Fairie Tale by Thomas H. Diggs, Off Broadway, at the Michael Weller Theatre

The Cameron Mackintosh Broadway and London productions of Les Miserables will swap Jean Valjeans this fall. John Owen-Jones, currently playing Valjean in Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre in the West End, will make his Broadway debut in the role beginning October 23 at the Broadhurst Theatre, while on October 22 Drew Sarich, currently playing Valjean on Broadway, will make his West End debut.

Pirates of the Caribbean's Kevin McNally will join the cast of the hit West End comedy, Boeing-Boeing on September 3 for four weeks only to play Parisian playboy Bernard.
