In November, Electric Theatre Company presents the world premiere of The Men of Mah Jongg by Richard Atkins, directed by Tony Award winner, Mark Medoff. This charming tale of four elderly men, who secretly take up the traditionally female game of mah jongg, will tickle your spirits and touch your heart. From Scranton the production moves directly into New York; a co-production with Queens Theatre in the Park. Pay-What-You-Can previews begin Wednesday, November fifth and opening night is Saturday, November 8th.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced its 2008-09 season: Bury the Dead, written by Irwin Shaw and directed by Joe Calarco, and Being Audrey, music and lyrics by Ellen Weiss, book by James Hindman, additional book and lyrics by Cheryl Stern, developed with Jack Cummings III and Adam R. The Cameron Mackintosh Broadway and London productions of Les Miserables will swap Jean Valjeans this fall. John Owen-Jones, currently playing Valjean in Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre in the West End, will make his Broadway debut in the role beginning October 23 at the Broadhurst Theatre, while on October 22 Drew Sarich, currently playing Valjean on Broadway, will make his West End debut.
